Whose birthday sets my SSDI date?
SSA’s handbook (§ 121.2) uses the birthday of “the insured individual,” the person whose work record pays the benefit. For your own disability benefit, that’s you. A child or spouse getting benefits on your record is paid on your day.
What if I get SSDI and SSI together?
SSI arrives on the 1st and SSDI on the 3rd, each moved earlier when the date falls on a weekend or holiday. See SSI 2027.
